USS Olympia problems

I built this model NOT anticipating any future issues. It wasn’t getting power from battery. Had to cut the mounting board for the ESC , etc. After butchering that, I’m guessing my charger was bad. Showed “FULL charge “. Waiting for new charger to arrive. JohnA

John, not know what kind of battery you have on board, many chargers will not bring a DEAD battery back to life. I have had my SLA chargers tell me that the battery was charged, but if fact it was not. Often, chargers need to sense a minimum voltage to work properly.
I would suggest replacing the battery first. And remember that all batteries will self discharge and some, SLA's in particular, have a critical voltage minimum voltage, that once reached, will not recover from. Hence, they need to be periodically charged while in storage.

I was taught a long time ago to start at the battery when trouble shooting electrical issues. Have you measured the battery's voltage? Its there a fuse in your circuit? Is there power into and out of your terminal strip? Are you using a BEC to power the receiver? Is it getting voltage from the battery?
Many questions to be asked and answered before I would jump at purchasing a new battery charger.
