always wanted to build a river boat.....been working on this one for a long time...(off and on)..wish i never started 😂...no propulsion at the moment...still trying different methods....its flat bottomed so the wind can cause problems, did try a "secret" prop but need the wheel to actualy look like its working.....oh well, its just an ongoing project!

I thought of that too! It is clear that with such a "flat" hull, the cross wind can overturn the punt. But here, too, I intend to attach a keel to which I can attach one as needed. brings some resistance with it, but what the heck! Safety first!👍

As much as I like looking at river boats like this I have seen how much the wind causes havoc with them. Good luck and I look forward to seeing what drive you pick. Lew

At the moment I am also restoring a stern wheel steamer wreck. First I really wanted to throw everything down and destroy it, but my pride doesn't allow it.

PS: It has really suffered from being stored, parts have broken off, are brittle etc, etc. . .😭 But what a 3D printer can do makes my heart beat faster. . . . See tail wheel pattern
